And so the story...
I love green aventurine. Something about it feels grounded and peaceful – and that's how I feel when I wear it and fiddle with it throughout the day. These larger than large highly polished gemstones make perfect touchstones. You know me and my touchstone thinking! While the image is enlarged to show all the detail (and there you go – another little bit of my personality that hates when I can’t see the thing I want to buy online) the six-sided stones measure about one-inch across and they are not flat, giving substance to the bracelet. Deep green ringed baroque freshwater pearls are quite hefty themselves – on average 10mm or so and add a certain mystery to the overall look. Very interesting Czech glass givre rondelles in dark green have a tiger eye effect and are the perfect complement to the real gemstones and freshwater pearls.
Three strands come together with a 15mm gold vermeil double toggle clasp that allows for sizing options. Measures 7 ¾ and 8 ½” depending on the loop you choose. Here it comes that engineering/physics thing – because there are three strands of rather large beads, the overall fit is a bit smaller than if it were a single strand of small beads. So, that being said, I think this is a pretty good choice for everyone out there. Not to worry about the security of the toggle – the weight of the bracelet means that once in place, the bar/toggle is secure until you decide to take it off.
I love the versatility of the neutral greens – look around in nature and you’ll immediately notice that green goes with everything. You know me – give me a bracelet and I’ll find a way to layer it with stuff from my collection. To me, that’s the fun of it all – whatever the whim I can make a look for it. Here you see it stacked with Judith Ripka, Joan Boyce, Joan Rivers and a bunch of vintage Bakelite treasures. What fun, no? Oh I just thought of another piece that would look lovely with it #0435 Colors of Jade soft bangle. Hm-m-m I feel a styling session coming on!
