And so the story...
I love green aventurine. Something about it is grounding and peaceful – and that is how I feel when I wear it and fiddle with it throughout the days. These larger than large highly polished gemstones make perfect touchstones. You know me and my touchstones? While the image here is enlarged to show all the detail (and there you go – another little bit of my personality that hates when I can’t see the thing I want to buy online!) the six-sided stones measure about one inch across and they are not flat, giving substance to the bracelet.
The softest of green prehnite faceted and polished gemstone nuggets look fabulous in combo with the green aventurine gemstones. Bring big green ringed baroque freshwater pearls to the mix and you have an arm party that is soft, pretty and bold. Very interesting Czech glass givre rondelles in dark green have a tiger eye or malachite effect and are the perfect go-with for the real gemstones and pearls.
Three strands come together with a 15mm finest-quality silver-plate c-ring (also called a signora) clasp. Measures 8 ¼” in length with a 1 ½” extender. Remember the old rule – because the bracelet is quite hefty in its overall design it will fit a bit smaller than the measured length. I think this is a good choice for just about everyone out there – length-wise. Well, I think it’s a good choice for other reasons as well, but you get my point! I just love the neutral greens – look around in nature and you’ll immediately notice that green is a neutral and goes with everything so this bracelet won't end up sitting in your jewelry box all the time. It'll be dancing on your wrist!
You know me – give me a bracelet and I’ll find a way to layer it with stuff from my existing collection. To me that’s the fun of it all – whatever the whim I can make a look for it. Here you see it layered with a green jade soft bangle (#0435) and vintage Bakelite and a wood bangle from God knows where! What fun, no? (Suggestion?
