And so the story...

Rhodochrosite is one of my favorite stones. In Tucson, these beads grabbed me -- maybe because they remind me of the heishe beads from my early, early, early days of making jewelry. Paired with silver-lined Japanese glass beads and Czech Jablonex fire-polished faceted and 10mm rounds, the light catches the clear veins running through these 1/2" hand cut beads. The clear form of this gemstone is over-the-top expensive and quite rare -- so lucky for me that I prefer the opaque and translucent nature of the gem with veins of clear stone visible.

The color makes me think of homemade strawberry ice-cream -- you know with no artificial coloring added -- real strawberries and cream. Yummy. The stones are not bubblegum pink as they might look in the pix. (Don't mistake this for the other gemstone called rhodonite -- the colors of the two stones are very different.)

Closes with a large c-ring top-quality silver-plate clasp, the bracelet measures 7 1/2" but will fit a bit smaller due to the boldness of the rhodocrosite beads. A 1" extender gives you the perfect fit. Worn alone or layered with other sterling silver link chain or bangle bracelets, it is just beautiful Soft and girly -- but not "bubble-gum...I'm six and love Barbie" pink.
