#0536 Lepidolite & Baroque Coin Pearl Three-Strand Bracelet
And so the story...
The color of lepidolite is so soothing – a tranquil shade of lavender. The gemstone really shows off its true color in these highly polished smooth 10mm round beads. The baroque coin pearls (10mm) glisten and look quite feminine in a nontraditional non-stuffy pearl kind of way. Sparkling Czech Jablonex glass fire-polished beads reflect & refract the light – suddenly I am remembering a scene in the film Polly Anna with Haley Mills when the sunlight was coming through the crystals dancing along the shade of a lamp. (See, I told you I was no spring chicken!) Textured open links complement the texture of the coin pearls and are the perfect frame for lepidolite and Czech glass bead charms, of sorts – that move as you do.
This bracelet falls in the “smaller” category of my designs. Not small by normal standards – but since each component is slightly smaller than those used in the majority of my designs I think the overall sense is slightly smaller, by comparison. For those of you who have the Mocha-Rose Pearl Bracelet (#0428) or the Pearl Cross, Citrine & Moonstone Bracelet (#0427) you know first-hand the general size of this design. It’s a very feminine look without being fluffy. The overall length of the bracelet is 8” with a 1 ¼” extender. Keep in mind that the three strands make for a slightly smaller fit than the actual length. If your wrist is slightly smaller, you can gently torsade the bracelet (gently twist the strands once) before attaching the lobster clasp.
I’ve given you a few ideas here for styling – as you know, purple I’ve given you a few ideas here for styling – as you know, purple stones are among my favorites and this particular piece plays well with others from my collection and my jewelry box. It’s fun to dress it up or down so I’ve done that in a few of the pix here. Let your mind wander and the options are endless. Handmade in the USA using domestic and imported components.
