Lovers of purple rejoice. You can imagine my joy when I spotted strands of these purple banded agate beads at the Tucson Gem Show. I was wrapping up my last day of shopping and was a bit bleary-eyed after seeing and touching millions of beads for 10 days, when I heard these beauties calling my name. Not only is the color exquisite – but the masterful cut and faceting of the beads makes them even more unusual. Back in the studio, I fiddled with several different design ideas and this is what I came up with this time around. Czech glass fire-polish faceted beads in amethyst are perfect companions to the banded agate nuggets. The Florentine-finish sterling over brass square puffed beads add a bit of splendor to the overall look.

The bracelet is bold and measures 8 ¼” long with a 1 ¼” extender and is best suited for medium to larger wrist sizes. While the measurement appears to be long, the bracelet fits a bit smaller due to the multi-strand design and the size of the beads. It closes with an easy to use large silver-plate signora c-ring clasp and a bead dangles from the extender chain. Lovely…really lovely. I’ve shown a few different style options to get your creative juices flowing. But, the options are limitless – experiment and see what you get to match your mood of the moment.
